Rachel Bondi, Chief Partner Officer at Microsoft, shares why the Objective and Microsoft partnership delivers greater information governance
During Objective’s annual customer event, Collaborate 2021, Rachel Bondi, the Chief Partner Officer for Microsoft Australia, led a session in which she spoke about the incredible partnership that Microsoft and Objective share.
Microsoft 365 is an ideal platform for enterprise collaboration. In Australia, New Zealand, and overseas, there has been tremendous uptake of cloud-based solutions for modern working and collaborating. We know that hybrid working is here to stay as the preferred way of working for many industries and will set the new normal. There are important considerations around information management and governance that coming with our new way of working.
The need for third-party solutions to maximise Microsoft 365 investment
Rachel explained that as the Chief Partner Officer for Microsoft Australia and New Zealand, there are lots of clients who are seeing the value of the Microsoft 365 platform, but often there are very specific needs and requirements that allow for partnerships such as Objective.
A recent study conducted by the Association of Intelligent Information Management said that over 60 percent of the clients that responded said that they needed to see third-party solutions to really maximise the investment on their Microsoft 365 commitment, and the top priority from many of these clients was around governance, records management, back-end processes like HR and finance, and then definitely with key industry-specific processes.
Even independent analysis is concluding that you will need additional capability to have the most comprehensive governance and record management solutions to really make the most out of your investment in the technology that you’ve committed to for your users.
The Microsoft and Objective Partnership
The Objective and Microsoft partnership is longstanding. Objective draws from over 30 years of experience when it comes to designing, to building, implementing software for the public sector and other highly regulated industries. Objective is a Microsoft gold-certified partner which means meeting certain requirements when it comes to the technology capability of their people but also processes that are implemented to make sure that Objective is building and designing products for the cloud.
“Objective has created a robust portfolio of content solutions for many clients in all of the markets that we serve together. It’s important that we think about what gets created for collaboration purposes and what gets created for greater governance, and I think that’s where the partnership in our technology platforms play a really, really critical role,” explained Rachel Bondi.
